| SIGN UP FOR THE NEW D21 NEWSLETTER E-MAIL ME at tsaem@earthlink.net to sign up for the D21 E-MAIL newsletter. Once a month, we'll be ramblin about stuff that has to do with D21, and stuff that dont, just depends on if D21 is doin anything at that moment. Also, there will be some sort of stupid contest occasionally, and you could win a CD, or t-shirt, or any other junk I may want to get rid of, so e-mail me with your e-mail address and I'll put you on the list. Oh yeah, I hate those jerk-off spammers, so I will NEVER give your info to anybody else. |
WHATS NEXT In the past few weeks, I have been jamming with several different musicians, ranging from heavy metal to blues, and I may do some recording with some of em, I'll let you know, some of these dudes kick some serious ass. I am now working on the next D21 CD, and that is the great thing about being an un-signed internet musician, I can do whatever I want whenever I want, and nobody can stop me! You know, only about 10 or 12 years ago, all this shit was not even imagineable, making a digital CD, and being able to put it where any jerk off in the world can see it, if you are less than 20 years old, that dont mean much, but for us old asses, its pretty amazing. When I first started playing guitar, CD players werent even invented yet, hell, you aint lived until you've heard HIGHWAY TO HELL on vinyl, but to be able to record your music on a digital recorder, then burn it on a CD was only a dream back then, and now you can do it for way less than a grand, you kids are lucky. I know, I'm sounding like your grandaddy, but hey, thats how it was. Now, as I said earlier, I can do whatever whenever, and that is a great thing, thats as big as the invention of the telephone, or TV, any whistle-dick with a computer can go world wide baby, how cool is that! As I was saying, I'm working on my next CD, its different than the DEVILS ADVOCATE CD, it aint as heavy, I'm using some cleaner guitar on it, and I'm playing the drums myself, which is a huge improvement over the old stuff, if you wanna shoot the shit about drums, E-MAIL me, I can go on and on, and as far as clean guitar, my 60's era PRINCETON amp, is the ultimate in clean if you treat em right, so you can E-MAIL me about that too! |

Still to come |
Heres a list of my influences, in no particular order. AC/DC Neil young Led Zeppelin Rush The Band Ted Nugent Black Sabbath Jimi Hendrix The Beatles The Doors Accept The Clash. Willie Nelson Nirvana I talk about AC/DC on another page on this site, they are the greatest, hands down, and always will be, but lets talk about a few other of my influences here. Nirvana is on the list simply because if I would have seen and heard them in the early 80's instead of the early 90's, I would have went nuts over this band. I was playing a Fender mustang long before anybody heard of Kurt Cobain, but he put it on the map, and I salute him for it, the spirit and intensity that Nirvana had for music should be an example for every young musician, just dont kill yourself over it! Zeppelin, what can I say, when I was 7 or 8, my brother started bringing home Zeppelin albums, and they were my favorite band way back then in the early 70's, "whole lotta love" is one of my childhood memories. I didnt really get into Hendrix until I started playing guitar 20 something years ago, but man, when I realized how good that dude was, it made me wonder if there was any point in learning how to play, cause nobody will ever be that good, EVER! I saw Ted Nugent about 8 years ago in a small club in Louisville Kentucky, it was the loudest show I've ever seen, and I loved it, that was rock-n-roll! Neil Young is one of the best rock song writers of all time, I am heavily influenced by him, and probably would never be playing if it were not for Neil. Willie Nelson is, in my opinion, the most under-rated guitarist ever, he is so good that he looses his back up musicians sometimes, he just wanders off, what a great guitar player Willie is!! |
